We at Television Mobile Resources are dedicated to enhancing and expanding the sport of speed skating throughout the United States.  Having had great success at live Internet streaming the 2009 USARS Indoor National Championships, the 2009 NIRA competition in Atlanta and, most recently, at the 2010 Palm Beach Challenge, TMR is proposing a new approach to televised speed skating coverage.

We have been pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the number of viewers who have watched the events so far, especially since there has been minimal promotion.  We had over 250,000 distinct viewers during the week of the USARS Nationals and the promotion was entirely word-of-mouth among skating enthusiasts.  The chat feature that comes with the video is quite popular gives people a way to converse in real time as they view the races.

We intend to keep the web streaming free of charge to members of the web site, rather than attempt pay-per-view.  We think that will appeal to both the fans and people new to the sport, helping expand the base of support.
